Do my customers need to download an app?
No. They open your link in their browser and order. Nothing for them to install.
What kinds of shops does Retriever work for?
Cafes, bakeries, grocers, boutiques, salons, electronics shops, anyone who sells a catalog and takes orders.
How do customers pay?
Customers pay you directly and the money never passes through Retriever, so there is no commission and nothing to withdraw. At checkout they can pay cash on pickup or delivery, or scan the eSewa, Khalti, Fonepay or bank QR you upload once in Settings and send back the transaction number. You check it against your own account and press Mark paid.
Is it really a 5-minute setup?
Yes. You name your shop, confirm with an emailed code, and it is live right away, no waiting and no setup call.
Can I take table or slot bookings?
Yes. Turn on Bookings in Settings and customers can reserve a date, time, and party size, which land on your Bookings tab.
Can I show orders on a TV like the big chains do?
Yes. Sign in on any TV with a browser and press TV display on the Orders tab: a live kitchen board for staff, or a collection screen of order codes for customers.
Can customers see their bill on a second screen?
Yes. Open the counter, then Customer screen. On this computer, drag that window onto the TV. On an iPad, sign in to the same shop and open Customer screen there. Photographs from Marketing play until you ring something, then it shows the live bill. With a saved Google review link, a review QR appears while idle and after a paid sale. Several TVs on one shop all show the same bill. A supermart with several queues is not this yet.
Do customers need an account for loyalty?
No. Points build on whatever they spend with you, matched by the phone number on the order, so a regular who never signs in still earns them. You redeem or give points from the Customers tab. If they do sign in, they see the same Apple Wallet and Google Wallet pass you dress under Design loyalty card, on their own page at your shop.
What does Retriever cost?
Every new shop opens on Pro free for 7 days, with no card. After that, please upgrade to Pro to keep using Retriever. Pro is NPR 3,000 a month or NPR 30,000 a year, and we never take a commission.
What happens after the free trial?
Please upgrade to Pro to keep using Retriever. The dashboard locks until you subscribe. Nothing you have made is deleted.
How do I pay for Pro in Nepal?
Locally, no international card needed. Message us on WhatsApp and we will turn Pro on for your shop; paying through eSewa inside the dashboard is built and switches on shortly.
